Department of Crop Science

The Department of Crop Science at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, invites applications for a Graduate Research Assistantship in the M.S. degree level.

The Forage and Grassland Program is seeking a highly motivated student interested in becoming involved in research projects related to management factors (i.e. establishment, fertilization, and defoliation responses) that affect production and sustainability of cool- and warm-season forages and forage-livestock production systems.

The assistantship will be available to start in summer and/or fall 2014. It will cover the costs of tuition and provides a monthly stipend for the duration of the program. Expected duration of the program is 2 years.

Requirements for application include:

  • Resume or CV.
  • Letter of intent.
  • Transcripts
  • TOEFL scores (for international students).
  • GRE scores.
  • At least two letters of reference (recommendation).
