Graduate research assistantship
A graduate research assistantship for a M.S. degree is available at the University of Connecticut. The assistantship is for studying turfgrass management.
The selected candidate will begin his/her research project in May 2014, and coursework in August 2014. Research will focus on optimizing fairway renovation practices and post-renovation management to transition to more sustainable turfgrasses. The candidate must be highly motivated to pursue an advanced degree and have a B.S. in turfgrass science, plant science, agronomy, horticulture, soil science, or related field. He/she must also have an interest in conducting practical field based research and the ability and willingness to obtain a CT state driver’s and pesticide applicator’s license. This is a funded assistantship in the Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture at the University of Connecticut, which is located in Storrs.

- Transcripts of grades.
- GRE scores are not mandatory but highly recommended.
- TOEFL scores (for international students).
- At least two letters of reference (recommendation).
