Several Assistantships in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Genomics
The University of Georgia, through its department of Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Genomics invites students to apply for several M.S. and Ph.D. programs.
While applications can be submitted at any time throughout the year, deadlines must be met for several awards including the Provost’s Ph.D. Scholars of Excellence, Graduate School Assistantships, Presidential Graduate Fellows Program, and IPBGG Assistantship.
For application, most assistantships require the following information (in English language):
- Resume or C.V.
- Letter of application.
- Transcripts of grades from previous studies.
- TOEFL scores (for international students).
- GRE scores.
- Three letter of reference (recommendation).

Compensation packages include competitive stipends and tuition assistance. Research opportunities are diverse, but they focus in the following disciplines: biomass, cereal, cotton, forage, ornamental, peanut, soybean, turf grass, and vegetable breeding, genetics, and genomics.
